Navidah graduated from Sheffield in 2004 and completed a year of vocational training in the Community Dental services (CDS). Following this she remained within the CDS and developed her skills further including carrying out minor oral surgery, exodontia and restorations under general anaesthesia. She was also able to improve her expertise in the management of children and additional needs patients and was calibrated to screen patients for the 2005 BASCD oral health survey. During this time she sat and passed the MJDF examination at the Royal College of Surgeons (England).
In 2009 she commenced her post-graduate specialist training and obtained her MClinDent in Periodontology with merit as well as being examined and successfully attaining accreditation by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) at the Eastman Dental Hospital, London. She also obtained Membership in Periodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), enabling her entry onto the GDC Specialist Register in Periodontology. Navidah was appointed as an Honorary Clinical Assistant in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Hospital which involved the teaching and training of dental hygienists and therapists.
Her international group research looking at the influence and associations of cytokines (IL-6) in periodontal patients has been published in the Journal of Clinical Oral Investigations and the PLoS One peer reviewed journal. Currently, she works in private practice in Central London and the Home Counties.
